Gnome Stitchery

I know, this is not a pink post. Renni the Gnome stars in this stitchery which lay on my WIP pile for ages! But now he's done and I'm so pleased with how he came out. You'll remember Renni from a previous post about gnome crafts, where he stars as an eraser carving I made. Gnomes love taking care of the earth, so Renni sports a flower in his cap while a butterfly watches from nearby. I stitched Renni on the corner of a large, white cotton fabric square using chain, running and backstitches and cotton floss. I'm using the finished piece as a table covering. I think this design would also make a charming pillow or wall hanging--that might be next; we'll see. More art soon!
